Jay K. Chien, Esq.

Jay K. Chien received a bachelor's degree in political science and an international relations specialization minor from the University of California Los Angeles.

Jay went on to attend law school at the Fordham University School of Law in New York City, graduating with a Juris Doctorate degree. In law school, Jay was an editor for the Fordham Moot Court Board as well as the Fordham Environmental Law Review. He was also editor-in-chief for the Fordham Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition team. While in law school, Jay studied bankruptcy litigation under the Honorable Roy Babitt, chapter 7, chapter 11 trustee, and retired bankruptcy judge of the southern and eastern districts of New York.

After graduation Jay became a Centennial Fellow of Fordham Law School and organized the celebrated Tribute to the Honorable Judge George Bundy Smith, a landmark occasion in the history of the New York City Judiciary.

Jay has been a law clerk as ASCAP. He has also practiced environment law and governmental regulatory compliance law as General Counsel of an entertainment production company. In 2009, Jay joined the Doan Law Firm's chapter 13 bankruptcy practice.

He is admitted to practice in the states of California and New York, and before the Federal District of California, cental division.
